Is repairing Samsung phone in Korea cheaper than other places?

My phone screen broke and now it's flickering i wonder if fixing the screen there is cheaper. My phone screen broke and now it's flickering i wonder if fixing the screen there is cheaper.

yeah if you're in Seoul, the Samsung service center at Seolleung Station is pretty straightforward, you can drop it off and they'll give you a loaner phone sometimes. just fyi the official warranty only covers it if the crack isn't from a drop, which is rare

but honestly for an older model like the s21 or s20, it's way cheaper to just hit up a shop in the Yongsan Electronics Market basement. they'll swap the glass for like 80,000 won if you don't mind a slightly thicker bezel. the flickering could also be a dying battery pushing voltage issues, not just the screen itself

honestly depends on which model you have. if it's a recent galaxy flagship like the s24 series, Samsung service centers in Korea are usually cheaper than US or Europe by maybe 20-30% for screen repairs. the official price at a Samsung service center in Gangnam or Jongno for an s24 screen replacement is around 250,000 won which is like $180

but if you go to a random phone repair shop in Yongsan Electronics Market or near Hongdae, you can get it done for like 150,000-200,000 won with a non-genuine screen. just make sure it's not a cheap LCD replacement cause those look terrible on amoled phones. the flickering might also just be a loose cable connection so it could be an even cheaper fix

if you're near digital media city, the samsung service center there is less crowded than gangnam, you can walk in without an appointment most weekdays. just bring your phone and they'll quote you on the spot, but the flickering might be covered under the 2-year warranty if it's not physical damage

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
