Facebook Groups That Organize Day Trips Out of Seoul?

Hello! I'm hoping someone can recommend any facebook groups that organize trips out of seoul (day trips or weekend trips). Thank you! Hello! I'm hoping someone can recommend any facebook groups that organize trips out of seoul (day trips or weekend trips). Thank you!

honestly, the best fb groups for this change all the time but "Korea Travel & Adventure" is usually pretty active for last-minute stuff. they do day trips to places like Nami Island or the DMZ, sometimes they organize their own bus from hongdae which saves u the hassle. just be ready for the organizer to be a bit chaotic with times lol

There's a group called "Seoul Hiking & Outdoor Adventure" that does trips outside the city fairly often. They post things like going to Bukhansan or even further out to Seoraksan for a weekend. It's a good way to meet people, just check the event details because some require you to arrange your own transport to the meeting point.

If you're into something a bit more niche, "Seoul Social Club" sometimes throws together day trips that aren't just the standard tourist spots. They did one to Gongju and Buyeo last month which was cool, less crowded than the usual Nami Island stuff. The vibe is more about chilling and exploring than a packed schedule, and they usually meet at Sadang station.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
