Four Days in Seoul, What To Do?

As the title says I have four days in Seoul and I'm not sure what to do, what advice/recommendations do you all have? As the title says I have four days in Seoul and I'm not sure what to do, what advice/recommendations do you all have?

Seoul's a city of layers, so don't just stick to the big palaces. Spend one afternoon in Ikseon-dong, it's this maze of narrow alleys filled with hanok houses that have been turned into tiny cafes and workshops. Skip the main drag and duck into a side alley, you'll find a spot like Tteuran where they do a proper makgeolli tasting with seasonal banchan. For something completely different, head to the Seoul Botanic Park in Magok, it's a massive greenhouse complex that feels like a different planet, and the surrounding parkland is great for a quiet picnic away from the crowds.

If you're up for a bit of a walk, start at Namsan and take the cable car up for the view, then head down the other side into the old neighborhood of Haebangchon. The streets there have a totally different vibe from the main tourist spots, with small galleries and bars tucked into the hillside. Grab lunch at one of the mom-and-pop joints near the bottom, the kimchi jjigae there is always a solid bet. For your last night, skip the obvious Hongdae clubs and try a pojangmacha in Jongno for some soju and eomuk, it's a proper local sendoff.

Four days in Seoul and you didn't even bother to search the sub first. Fine. Hit Gyeongbokgung early to dodge the crowds and see the changing of the guard. Eat at Gwangjang Market for the messy stuff like bindaetteok and mayak gimbap.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
