Appreciate some advice on the following 1) Are ski resorts opened for snow activities at this time? 2) thinking of doing a 2d1n stay at ski resort (snowboarding for kids). Better to arrange it on the first 2 days (from airport to ski resort) or last 2 days (from ski resort to incheon airport direct after checking out)? My flight timings are : arrive Seoul 730am. Depart Seoul 1230pm. Thank you very much for your kind advice !

yeah ski resorts will be open but mostly on artificial snow that early. vivaldi park and oak valley usually start their snowmaking mid-november so you'll have enough coverage for snowboarding. just don't expect powdery runs yet

for timing, first two days makes way more sense. there's a direct bus from incheon to vivaldi park at 8:30am and 10am from the airport bus stop 4b or 11a, around 30,000 won. you'd be on the slopes by noon. plus the kids will be jetlagged anyway so they'll crash early after a day of snowboarding

the return trip is the real issue. with a 12:30pm flight you'd need to leave the resort by 7am latest and that's if there's no traffic on the yeongdong expressway which gets packed on weekends. not worth the stress with kids in tow

snow in early december is hit or miss in seoul itself. you might get a dusting but nothing that sticks for long. ski resorts like vivaldi park or oak valley usually start opening mid to late november but they rely on artificial snow that early so conditions are decent but not amazing

for timing i'd actually recommend doing the ski resort first. land at 730am, grab a bus from the airport directly to the resort. there's a direct bus from incheon to vivaldi park that takes about 2 hours and costs around 30,000 won per person. you'll be there by lunch and can hit the slopes that afternoon. then head back to seoul after day 2 and spend the rest of your trip exploring the city

the last 2 days option is riskier with a 1230pm flight. you'd have to leave the resort super early like 6am to make it back to incheon with enough time for check in. ski resorts are usually 1.5-2.5 hours from the airport depending on traffic and weekend traffic can be brutal

also check if your hotel can hold luggage for you. some places near seoul station will store bags for like 5,000 won a day if you want to travel light to the resort

Honestly just do the ski resort first. Your 7:30am arrival gives you the whole day to get out there and the direct bus is easy enough. Doing it at the end with a noon flight sounds stressful.

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
