Can you run along the Cheonggyecheon stream?

Going to Seoul in about a week, and me and my dad are both big runners. We were wondering if it's possible to run along the stream because it's near where we are staying. Thanks! yeah definitely possible. the full path from gwanghwamun to the end near majang-dong is about 11km one way so u can get a solid run in. just know the surface is mostly stone blocks not pavement so it's a bit harder on the knees than normal road running. and if u go early morning like 6am it's way emptier than the evening crowds

You can definitely run along the Cheonggyecheon, it's pretty popular with locals and tourists alike, just be aware that it can get pretty crowded especially around the weekend, and you'll probably want to avoid running during the evening when the stream is all lit up and there are a lot of people out for a stroll.

It's totally doable but watch out for the steps at the crosswalks, they can be annoying if you're trying to keep a steady pace.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
