Does anybody know a good store for Lumix cameras in Seoul? Does anybody know a good store for Lumix cameras in Seoul?

If you're near Myeongdong, the Lotte Department Store main branch has a Panasonic counter on the electronics floor that's pretty reliable. Stock can be hit or miss depending on the season, but they'll order anything you need within a few days. You'll pay closer to MSRP there though, no room to negotiate like at Yongsan.

I'd try the Camera & Lens stores in the Jongno area near Anguk Station. There's a cluster of small shops on the side streets off Insadong-gil that specialize in secondhand gear, and they often have Lumix bodies from Japan that are in great shape. Prices are negotiable and you can usually test everything before buying. Just check the shutter count and make sure the menu language is set to English or Korean before you hand over cash.

honestly just hit up the big electronics marts in yongsan. there's a few shops near the dragon hill spa exit that have a decent selection of lumix bodies and lenses. i got my g9 there last year for way less than retail, just gotta haggle a bit. if you want a proper store with warranty though, check out the samsung plaza in gangnam they have a dedicated panasonic corner

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
