Recommendations for bars would also be great. We are looking for a welcome drinks vibe so ideally somewhere classy/cool and vibey (and quiet enough to converse!)

for that size group with vegetarians, try Korea House in Pil-dong. they do big banquet-style 한정식 and the veg options are solid since it's traditional temple cuisine inspired. at 40-45 ppl you'll prob need to call a month ahead tho
for drinks, head to Alice in Apgujeong. it's a speakeasy with tall ceilings so the noise doesn't bounce around like those tiny bars in Hongdae. their cocktails are around 18-22k won so it fits your budget. just tell them it's a group when you book the table
honestly for 40-45 with vegetarians i'd look at Insadong rather than the usual tourist spots. Sanchon does a great set menu that's mostly veggie friendly and they have private rooms that fit big groups. the ambiance is super traditional with the courtyard and everything, makes for good event vibes
for the welcome drinks thing, skip the crowded spots in Gangnam and try The Timber House in Hannam-dong. it's a bit hidden but they have these long communal tables that work well for groups. whiskey list is solid and it's quiet enough that you can actually hear people talk. just book the whole back area if you can
try Maple Tree House in Itaewon, they do kbbq but have a separate veggie menu and the grill tables seat like 10 each so splitting into groups is easy. just call ahead and mention the vegetarians, theyre used to it

The guide is solid, but one thing I'd add is that if you're landing at Terminal 2, the AREX Express actually starts there and stops at Terminal 1 before heading to Seoul Station. A lot of people don't realize that and end up waiting for the wrong train. Also, for the limousine bus, the 6015 to Myeongdong is great but traffic on the way in can turn that 60-minute ride into 90 minutes easily, especially on Friday afternoons.
yeah the guide covers it well but one thing i'd mention is that if you're traveling with a group of 3 or 4, a regular taxi from the airport to central seoul can actually be cheaper per person than the express train and way more convenient. split 60k won four ways and it's only 15k each, plus no hauling luggage through the station. just make sure they use the meter or you'll get ripped off
