Seoul solo 2 days?

I would like to know if 2 days is enough for Seoul? I really only care to see the main touristy sites and maybe a hidden gem or two (if possible). Does this sound realistic or would I need more time?

Thanks!

Two days is tight but doable if you're efficient. I'd split it: one day for Gyeongbokgung and Bukchon Hanok Village in the morning, then head to Myeongdong and N Seoul Tower in the evening. The second day can cover Hongdae and Ikseon-dong for a mix of trendy and old-school charm, with a hidden gem like Dongnimmun Gate nearby if you have an extra hour. Skip Insadong unless you're into overpriced souvenirs, and eat at Gwangjang Market for budget-friendly bindaetteok.

tbh 2 days is enough if you're cool with speedrunning the main stuff. i'd skip myeongdong unless you really want to shop chains, it's just crowded and meh. instead hit gwangjang market for food then walk to jongno 3-ga for some random old alley vibes, there's a tiny park with a pavilion that barely anyone stops at.

for a hidden gem, check out seoul forest on your second morning. it's not hidden to locals but tourists skip it. grab a coffee at one of the cafes along the stream nearby, way chiller than hongdae. you'll prob have time for namsan cable car if u queue early

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
