Where to buy vintage posters?

I collect vintage posters when I travel and was curious if there were any such stores that might be recommended in Seoul? I collect vintage posters when I travel and was curious if there were any such stores that might be recommended in Seoul?

honestly the Hongdae Free Market on Saturdays is worth a look, it's more of an artsy flea vibe than a proper store but i've grabbed some awesome hand-printed posters there. there's also this tiny place called LP Bar in Euljiro that sells vintage music posters alongside records, the owner is super chill and prices are negotiable if you buy a few at once

Check out the vintage section of Arcade Bongil in Myeongdong, it's a narrow alley lined with small shops near the main shopping street. I've found some cool Korean movie and concert posters from the 70s and 80s there, usually around 20,000 to 50,000 won depending on condition. The sellers tend to be older folks who've been running those stalls for decades, so they can tell you a bit about the history if you ask.

If you're up for a bit of a treasure hunt, the Daehangno area has a few antique bookshops that sometimes carry old posters tucked away in stacks. There's one called Seoul Book Bogo near the Marronnier Park that's been around forever, and I've seen some neat travel and film posters from the 60s mixed in with the old books, usually pretty cheap if you're willing to dig.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
