Can you buy tickets at yes24 live hall on the day of concert?

it depends on the show tbh. i've walked up to yes24 live hall for smaller acts and got tickets no problem, but for anything with a decent following you'll probably be refreshing your phone at 11am on the presale date like everyone else. the box office is cash only half the time so bring that just in case. also if you're already in hongdae, you can check the leftover ticket board at the entrance about an hour before showtime

honestly if it's a kpop or indie show that's not totally sold out you'll be fine buying at the door, they usually hold back a small batch for day-of sales. the box office is right inside the main entrance on the first floor, just bring cash bc their card machine sometimes acts up. but if it's a hyped artist like day6 or something, you're better off stalking interpark the week before for canceled reservations

yeah you can buy at the box office day of but it's risky if it's a popular show. the yes24 live hall box office opens like 2 hours before doors but they only sell what's left after online presales and reservations. if you're set on going, prob better to grab a ticket on ticket interpark or yes24's site beforehand, the hall is in hongdae so sometimes scalpers hang around outside too but prices are inflated

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

arrow_drop_up 24 arrow_drop_down

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
