It's uploaded already on the korean site but you need a korean phone number for identification so my only hope is the global site

yeah the global site should get it up eventually but it usually takes a few days after the korean one goes live. if you're really worried about missing out, you can try asking a friend with a korean number to help you grab one from the korean site, that's what i did last year for the gwangalli drone show. the opening concert is at jamsil sports complex so it'll prob be packed, just a heads up

the global wemakeprice site is notoriously slow for these things, last year the seoul festa tickets went up like 4 days later and by then the good seats were gone. if u have a kakao account you can try linking it to the korean site, sometimes that bypasses the phone verification thing. also keep an eye on the seoul festa instagram, they usually post a direct link when the global site goes live

honestly the global site is super unreliable for big events like this. i'd say just try your luck with the korean site using a vpn and see if it lets you bypass the phone verification, sometimes it works if you use a random number generator but no guarantees. worst case you can always show up day of and hope for cancellations or scalpers outside jamsil

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!
arrow_drop_up 14 arrow_drop_down

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
