Best cocktails at Brass & Oak in Mumbai 2026?

fmd_goodBrass & Oak · #cocktails
I'm visiting Mumbai next month and Brass & Oak keeps coming up. What's the vibe there and which cocktails are actually worth ordering in 2026? Also, do they take walk ins or should I book ahead? Book ahead Friday, Smoked Old Fashioned.

Agree on booking ahead, the place fills up fast after 8. The Kokum Margarita is the one I'd add, it's properly local and not too sweet. Ask for a table near the back if you want to actually talk.

yep reserving ahead is the move, they hold tables till 8:30 then it's first come chaos. ask for the mezzanine if you can, way less cramped than the bar side.

Thursday's quieter, same drink

asking for the corner booth when u reserve helps, way less foot traffic. and ask them to hold it past 9, fridays run late there

Their Smoked Old Fashioned is solid but the bar seats near the window pour better, so request one when you reserve.

Go early evening before the office crowd lands, and try the tamarind whiskey sour if it's still on the menu

tbh the negroni there is what locals actually order, and skip weekends unless u enjoy shouting over the music.

Best coffee near Common Grounds Mumbai 2026?

Which parts of the city are actually fine to wander late at night and which ones should I avoid if I'm heading back alone around 11pm? Any specific streets or stations I should steer clear of on that route?
arrow_drop_up 6 arrow_drop_down

common grounds is in bandra west, near pali hill. if ur heading back late, the stretch from bandra station east exit toward the skywalk is sketchy after 11, stick to the west side & the main linking rd. colaba causeway is fine late, so is most of lower parel. avoid the lanes behind dadar station east at that hour tbh, and the reclamation area past 10 is empty & dark.

yeah the east exit bit is spot on. only thing i'd add is the skywalk itself is fine once ur actually on it, it's teh approach lanes below that feel dodgy. also avoid the khar subway under the tracks late, pitch dark and no cops around.

reclamation is fine now, they put lights in last year

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

still patchy past the Otter's Club turn though

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Linking Rd is fine but the stretch past the KFC signal gets quiet after 11, walk it on the shop side.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Colaba causeway's fine but the side lanes off it aren't.

the coffee at Common Grounds is solid but the pali hill lane gets dark past 10.30, no streetlights on the slope so walk down to Turner Rd instead of cutting through the hill. if ur heading to the station, Bandra station east is the dodgy bit, west side is fine. andheri east near the metro at 11pm is dead quiet too, i'd avoid that. getting a rick back is easier than the train that late anyway

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

honestly the stretch of carter rd behind the hill is worse, feels empty once the shops shut but a rick will always stop there

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

pali hill slope is fine if u cut through the gated society lane instead, guards keep a light on till midnight

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Image marlis local ·

khar station bridge is worse, no lights at all
