🍸 Where to Start
Begin your night in Colaba or Bandra, the two main nightlife hubs. Colaba offers historic bars like Leopold Cafe (Colaba Causeway, open till 1:30 AM) and trendy lounges. Bandra is packed with rooftop bars and pubs along Linking Road and Hill Road.

🎡 Live Music Venues
For live music, head to The Bluefrog in Lower Parel (Mathuradas Mill Compound, cover charge around INR 1500) or Hard Rock Cafe in Andheri (Fun Republic, cover INR 1000). Both feature local and international acts, with shows starting around 9 PM.

πŸ’ƒ Top Nightclubs
Club hopping is best in Lower Parel and BKC. Try Trilogy (Kamala Mills, cover INR 2000-3000) or Kitty Su (The Lalit, Sahar Airport Road, cover INR 2500). Most clubs close at 1:30 AM due to licensing laws, but some stay open later with special permits.

πŸ‘— Dress Codes
Most upscale clubs enforce a strict dress code: no shorts, flip-flops, or sportswear. Smart casuals are the norm, with collared shirts and closed shoes for men. Some venues like Smaaash (Kamala Mills) are more relaxed, but it's best to check ahead.

πŸ’΅ Cover Charges and Prices
Cover charges range from INR 1000 to INR 5000 depending on the venue and night. Drinks are pricey: a beer costs around INR 400-600, cocktails INR 800-1200. Many clubs offer discounted entry for women or couples on certain nights.

⏰ Closing Times
Mumbai's nightlife officially ends at 1:30 AM for most venues, though some bars and clubs with special licenses stay open until 3 AM. After-hours parties often move to private venues or hotels. Always confirm closing times before heading out.

πŸš• Getting Home
Taxis and ride-hailing apps like Uber and Ola are widely available but surge pricing applies after midnight. Consider booking a cab in advance or using the Mumbai Metro (last train around 11 PM). Some clubs offer valet parking for around INR 200.

πŸŒ† Hidden Neighborhoods
Explore offbeat nightlife in areas like Powai and Juhu. Powai has lakeside bars like The Irish House (Hiranandani Gardens, open till 1 AM) and Juhu offers beachside shacks like Prithvi Cafe (Juhu Church Road, open till midnight). These spots are less crowded but equally vibrant.

solid guide, covers the basics well. one thing it misses is the afterparty scene for bands or smaller gigs. if you catch a show at bluefrog or somewhere, ask the musicians or folks at the bar where the house party is that night. a lot of times it moves to someone's flat in prabhadevi or a studio in worli, and those go till 4 or 5 am. also, for a quieter night, try the piano bar at the oberoi in nariman point. it's pricey but the live jazz is legit and you can actually talk to people without shouting over the bass. cover charges listed are about right for 2026, maybe a bit low for kitty su on a saturday, that can hit 3k easily

nice guide, pretty spot on. one thing id add is that colaba can get super touristy so if you want a more local vibe try the bars in matunga or even parts of dadar. there's this spot called soda bottle opener wala in fort that's got this old school parsi vibe, great for a cheap beer and some kheema pav before heading out. also, for getting home, if you're in bandra, the BEST trick is to walk to the nearest rickshaw stand rather than trying to hail one on the main road, theyll just ignore you

this is a really thorough guide, props for putting it together. one thing i'd add is the whole speakeasy and craft cocktail scene that's kind of exploded in places like bandra and khar. try mi casa in khar, it's a tiny door on the main road with no sign, you gotta knock and they let you in, the bartenders actually chat with you and make stuff you ask for even if it's not on the menu. also if you're near fort, the permit room is a cool little spot hidden behind a paan shop on rustom sidhwa

I want to sell my old clothes

ngl the easiest way is to just hand them over to a scrapwala near your building, they'll sort through and take what they want, rest goes to recycling. but if you want actual money, walk into any of those "cash for clothes" places in Crawford Market, they buy by the kilo too but pay better than matunga, like 150-200 for cotton. just don't bring anything with stains or tears, they'll reject it outright and you'll waste your time hauling it there

fwiw you could also try the Instagram thrift stores that are based out of mumbai, like "bombay thrift store" or "mumbai thrift club". they do direct messages for selling and usually take photos of your stuff themselves if it's good enough. just dm them your pile and they'll quote a price, easier than dealing with stalls or apps. also, if you have any branded stuff, try the "luxury thrift" pages instead, they pay way better for zara or h&m than the general ones

The St. Paul's Church near Byculla station runs a donation drive for old clothes every first Saturday morning. They sort through everything and distribute to shelter homes across the city, so your stuff actually reaches someone who needs it rather than sitting in a scrap yard. Just drop off before 11am or the volunteers pack up for the day.
