How reliable is the internet for calls, and are there coworking spots or cafes where I can take meetings without hassle? Also curious how long remote workers usually stay in the city.

jio fiber at home is solid for calls but most cafes in bandra have flaky wifi so book a coworking day pass instead

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

yeah bandra cafes are a gamble, powai ones too honestly

bandra talks in khar is the quiet one

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

the khar one gets loud after 6 though

Fair point on the day passes. One thing worth checking: some coworking places upcharge for meeting-room hours beyond the pass, so confirm the call booth policy before you commit. Fort and Churchgate side also has quieter options if you want to avoid the crowd.

Cuckoo Cafe at Kalaghoda, quiet till noon.

Day passes at 91springboard Powai work well for calls, but confirm their booth policy since meeting rooms cost extra beyond the pass.

Airtel Xstream Fiber at home has handled my London calls fine, but always keep a mobile hotspot backup because afternoon outages happen. For meetings I'd use WeWork in BKC or 91springboard in Lower Parel over cafes. Most remote workers I know stay a month or two, rarely longer.

Andheri east fibre is patchier, check society before booking

Makes sense, worth asking neighbors in the building too before committing.

Best cocktails at Brass & Oak in Mumbai 2026?

fmd_goodBrass & Oak · #cocktails
I'm visiting Mumbai next month and Brass & Oak keeps coming up. What's the vibe there and which cocktails are actually worth ordering in 2026? Also, do they take walk ins or should I book ahead? Book ahead Friday, Smoked Old Fashioned.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Agree on booking ahead, the place fills up fast after 8. The Kokum Margarita is the one I'd add, it's properly local and not too sweet. Ask for a table near the back if you want to actually talk.

yep reserving ahead is the move, they hold tables till 8:30 then it's first come chaos. ask for the mezzanine if you can, way less cramped than the bar side.

Thursday's quieter, same drink

asking for the corner booth when u reserve helps, way less foot traffic. and ask them to hold it past 9, fridays run late there

Their Smoked Old Fashioned is solid but the bar seats near the window pour better, so request one when you reserve.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Go early evening before the office crowd lands, and try the tamarind whiskey sour if it's still on the menu

tbh the negroni there is what locals actually order, and skip weekends unless u enjoy shouting over the music.
