wait, nobody mentioned the zigong dinosaur museum as a quick half day before catching a train. it's literally 20 min from zigong east station, 40 rmb entry, and the fossil hall is world class, like actual full skeletons not just replicas. if you have a morning before your leshan or yibin train, do that instead of sitting in a cafe. and for food, the cold noodles at the food court inside the museum are surprisingly decent, 15 rmb and they do a spicy mala version that'll wake you up for the ride.
