yeah this is a really good framework, i've done similar trips with friends who visit. one thing i'd add for day 1 is that the climb up zhenwu mountain has a side path near the back that goes past a little pavilion where old guys play mahjong under the trees, it's a nice detour and the view from there is almost as good as the temple top. takes maybe 15 mins extra

honestly this is a solid itinerary, i've lived in yibin for a few years and you got most of the highlights. one thing i'd tweak is day 2's bamboo sea timing - if u go in summer the morning hike gets brutal after 10am, the humidity is no joke. i'd swap the order, do the boat ride first at 9am when it's cooler, then hike after lunch when the shade from the bamboo helps a bit.
also i'd skip the farmhouse lunch inside the scenic area, it's overpriced for what it is. instead pack some snacks and eat back in nanxi town proper, there's a spot called Chen Ji (陈记) on Renmin Road that does a killer bamboo shoot stir-fry for like 20 RMB. the bus ride back is only 15 mins anyway.

For anyone doing the Cuiping Mountain hike, the trail from the back entrance is fine but bring mosquito spray if you're going in summer. I got eaten alive up there last June and the bites lasted a week. Also the tea houses near the top charge double what you'd pay at the bottom, like 25 yuan for a cup of jasmine instead of 12. Better to bring your own thermos.

I've stayed in both the Nanxi and Cuiping districts and I'd suggest thinking about noise levels when you pick. Nanxi is great for convenience but the traffic on Renmin Road starts early, around 6am, with delivery scooters and buses. Cuiping is noticeably quieter, especially if you get a room facing the mountain side rather than the main street.
One thing the guide doesn't mention is that the cable car up Cuiping Mountain stops running at 5pm, so if you want to catch sunset from the top you need to hike up. The trail from the back entrance near the Cuiping Youth Hostel takes about 40 minutes and is well lit. I've done it a few times and it's manageable even if you're not a regular hiker.
For the University District, a lot of the cafes listed online close during winter break when students go home. Brew & Code is usually reliable year-round but the coworking space Nomad Co-Living sometimes reduces its hours in January and February. I'd call ahead if you're visiting then.
