I would add that if you have time on Day 3, the hot spring resort just north of the city is a nice way to unwind before heading home. It's about a 30 minute taxi ride and costs around 80 RMB for a few hours. The water is genuinely nice and it's much quieter than the ones closer to Beijing. Also, for the Dream Watertown, the afternoon traditional opera performance at the small pavilion near the east gate is often better than the morning one, the performers seem more warmed up.

honestly this guide nails it especially the night market on Xinhua Road but i'd add that the best lamb skewers are from the third stall on the left with the red awning they use cumin from Xinjiang and it just hits different. also if you're into photography the wetland park at sunrise is way better than midday the mist over the boardwalks makes for some nice shots and the birds are more active then. the antique market on Jiefang Road is a solid rec but be ready to haggle they start prices about double what things are worth especially for the ceramics
the guide's solid but they left out the hot spring resorts just outside town. head to Langfang Hot Spring City (about 20 min by taxi, 120 CNY entry) for a proper soak after a day of walking. the outdoor pools are nice in winter when it's cold but the water's warm, feels great.
also the peach blossom festival in april is legit crowded on weekends. go on a weekday morning if you can, way fewer people and the light's softer for photos. the vendors there sell fresh peach juice that's worth trying.
yeah the guide's good but they didn't mention the small temple complex near the wetland park, it's called Longhua Temple and it's free. not a big tourist spot but the old courtyard and incense smell is really peaceful, especially late afternoon when the light hits the tiles. worth a quick stop if you're already out that way.
