solid guide, covers all the main spots. one thing i'd add is the breakfast scene around the old city wall on renmin east road, there's a cluster of carts that set up from 5am to 9am. the best one is an old lady who does sesame flatbread sandwiches with a fried egg and pickled mustard greens for 5 kuai, she's been there for like 20 years. also for the beef soup, if you're at lao ma jia, ask for extra chili oil on the side, their house-made stuff has sichuan peppercorns in it and gives it a nice numbing kick that a lot of tourists miss
honestly this guide is solid, i'd just add that the beef soup at lao ma jia is legit but if u want less touristy vibe try the small cart on huaishang road near the old north gate around 7am, same style soup but they add more tripe for 18 kuai. also for street food alley i'd skip the stinky tofu at stall 12, stall 8 next to it does a better version with more pickled cabbage and it's only 6 kuai. the rice noodles at chen ji are good but they run out by 9:30 so get there before 8 if u want the full experience
The guide pretty much nailed it, but I'd add that if you're at Tianjia'an Night Market, the grilled fish skewers at stall 19 are incredible too, only 12 RMB each, and they're marinated in a spicy bean paste that's different from the lamb. solid plan, really captures the city well. one thing i'd say is don't bother with bus 29 to shouxian if you can grab a taxi instead, it's like CNY 30-40 and saves you almost half an hour. the bus can get cramped and slow through the old town traffic.
also, if you're doing bagongshan in the morning, try to hit the trail behind the temple first. most people stick to the main path but that back loop has a little pavilion with a killer view of the whole city on a clear day. just watch your step, some of the stone steps are loose.
This is a solid itinerary. One thing I'd add is that if you're at Shouxian, don't miss the Da Bao'en Temple just south of the city wall. It's a short walk from the museum and has a really impressive Ming dynasty pagoda that most tourists skip. The entry is only about CNY 10 and it's way quieter than the main wall area.
For the night market on Huaihe Road, the grilled skewers are good but I personally prefer the ones from the stall near the north entrance. The guy there uses a spicier rub and they come out crispier.
