**🏛️ Ancient Chersonesus** Start at the Tauric Chersonesus, a UNESCO-listed ancient Greek colony founded in the 5th century BC. The site is open daily from 9:00 to 18:00 (until 20:00 in summer), and entry to the main archaeological zone costs around 500 RUB. Insider tip: visit early morning to avoid tour groups and catch the best light on the Byzantine basilica ruins. **⚓ Naval History Sites** Sevastopol's naval heritage is everywhere, but the must-see is the Panorama Museum on Istorichesky Boulevard, which houses a massive 360-degree painting of the 1855 Siege of Sevastopol. It's open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, admission about 400 RUB. Nearby, the Black Sea Fleet Museum on Lenina Street offers a deeper dive into the city's maritime past, though it's best to check opening hours locally as they change seasonally. **🏖️ Beaches and Coastal Walks** For a relaxed afternoon, head to Uchkuevka Beach, a pebbly stretch with clear water and a promenade lined with cafes. It's a 20-minute marshrutka ride (No. 10) from the city center, and sunbed rental is around 300 RUB per day. The more secluded Omega Beach, near the Omega Bay, is popular with locals for its calm waters and scenic cliffs, but bring water shoes for the rocky entry. **🍷 Wine Tasting at Inkerman** The Inkerman Winery, about 15 km east of Sevastopol, produces excellent sparkling wines using the traditional method. Tours run daily at 11:00, 14:00, and 16:00, cost 800 RUB including a tasting of six wines, and should be booked a day ahead. The underground cellars are naturally cool, so bring a light jacket even in summer. **🚠 Ride the Cable Car** The Sevastopol Cable Car (Kanatnaya Doroga) on Sapun Mountain offers panoramic views of the city and the sea. It operates from 10:00 to 20:00 (until 22:00 in summer), and a one-way ticket costs 200 RUB. The ride is short but scenic, and the top station has a viewing platform and a small cafe. **🍽️ Where to Eat** For a taste of local cuisine, try the fish restaurants along the Artillery Bay, such as Rybatskaya Derevnya on Nakhimova Avenue, where a meal for two costs around 2000 RUB. For budget-friendly options, the Central Market on Lenina Street has stalls selling fresh pastries and produce from 7:00 to 19:00. Don't miss the chance to sample Black Sea mussels and local sparkling wine. **🚌 Getting Around** Sevastopol has a reliable network of buses, trolleybuses, and marshrutkas (minibuses) that cover most tourist areas. A single ride costs 30 RUB, and you can buy tickets from the driver. The city center is walkable, but for trips to Chersonesus or the beaches, using public transport is cheap and frequent. **🌅 Evening at the Count's Quay** Count's Quay (Grafskaya Pristan) is the heart of evening life in Sevastopol, with its iconic white colonnade and views of the bay. Stroll along the waterfront, watch the boats, and enjoy street performances. Nearby, the Art Boulevard hosts open-air exhibitions and craft fairs from May to September, typically from 17:00 to 22:00.
