**🏛️ Start at the Rock Fort** Begin your visit at the iconic Bezwada Rock Fort, a massive granite outcrop that dominates the city skyline. Climb the 500 steps to the top for panoramic views of the Krishna River and the surrounding plains. The fort is open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and entry is free. **🛕 Explore Ancient Temples** Don't miss the Kanaka Durga Temple, perched on the Rock Fort hill, dedicated to the goddess Durga. The temple sees heavy crowds during Dasara, but weekdays are quieter. Another must-visit is the Subramanya Swamy Temple at the base, known for its intricate carvings. **🌊 Walk Along the Riverfront** The newly developed Krishna Riverfront stretches for 2 kilometers with landscaped gardens, walking paths, and food stalls. It's perfect for an evening stroll, especially near the Prakasam Barrage. The area is well-lit and safe until 10:00 PM. **🛶 Take a Boat Ride** For a different perspective, hop on a boat ride from the Bhavani Island jetty. The 30-minute cruise takes you along the Krishna River past the barrage and the fort. Tickets cost around 100 INR per person, and boats run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. **🍛 Taste Local Andhra Cuisine** Head to the old city area near One Town for authentic Andhra meals. Try the spicy Gongura chicken and the fiery Andhra biryani at popular spots like Rayalaseema Ruchulu or Sri Kanya. A full meal costs about 300-400 INR per person. **🛍️ Shop for Kalamkari Textiles** Bezwada is famous for Kalamkari hand-painted fabrics. Visit the local markets near Besant Road or the government-run Lepakshi Handicrafts showroom for quality pieces. Prices start at 500 INR for a small scarf. **🚌 Getting Around the City** Auto-rickshaws are the most convenient way to get around, with fares starting at 30 INR for short trips. City buses are cheap but can be crowded. For a more comfortable ride, use app-based taxis like Ola or Uber, which are widely available. **🌅 Best Evening Spots** Sunset from the top of the Rock Fort is unforgettable, but if you prefer a quieter spot, head to the Gandhi Hill park. The park features a 52-foot statue of Gandhi and a small planetarium. It's open until 8:00 PM and entry is 20 INR.
