**🗺️ Day 1: Old Town & Riverfront** Start your morning at Yulin Old Town (Yuyang District), exploring the ancient city wall and Zhenbei Tower. The area is compact, so you can walk between sites in 10-15 minutes. For lunch, try Yangguo Mutton at Laoyang Family Restaurant on Jiefang Road. **🏛️ Afternoon: Museums & Parks** Head to Yulin Museum (2 Renmin Road, free entry) to see Han Dynasty artifacts. Then stroll through Shamao Park, a 10-minute walk east. The park has a small lake and pagoda, perfect for a relaxing break before dinner. **🌃 Evening: Night Market & Lights** Visit Yulin Night Market on Changcheng South Road, open from 6 PM to midnight. Try local skewers and suan ni bai rou (garlic pork). The market is lively, with street performers and colorful lanterns. **🏞️ Day 2: Red Stone Gorge & Desert** Take a 30-minute bus (route 5, ¥2) from city center to Hongshixia (Red Stone Gorge), a scenic canyon with red cliffs and ancient carvings. Spend 2-3 hours hiking the trails. Bring water and sunscreen. **🐪 Afternoon: Maowusu Desert** From Hongshixia, take a taxi (¥40, 20 minutes) to Maowusu Desert. Try camel riding (¥100 per person) or sandboarding. Return to the city by 5 PM via the same taxi or a shared minibus (¥15). **🍜 Evening: Local Dinner** Dine at Yulin Renjia Restaurant (88 Chang'an Road) for authentic dishes like suan cai yu (sour cabbage fish) and you mo (oil cake). Average cost is ¥60 per person. The restaurant is popular, so arrive by 6:30 PM. **⛰️ Day 3: Zhenbeitai & Departure** Spend the morning at Zhenbeitai, a Ming dynasty fortress 15 minutes by taxi (¥15) from the city. Entry is ¥30. Climb the towers for panoramic views. Allow 1.5 hours to explore. **🚌 Getting Around & Tips** Yulin's buses cost ¥1-2 and cover most attractions. Taxis start at ¥8. For day trips, consider renting a car (¥200/day) for flexibility. Book hotels near the Old Town to save transit time.
