**🍜 Must-Try Local Dishes** Hechi is famous for its sour and spicy flavors, with dishes like Hechi sour fish and bamboo rice. The local specialty, luosifen (river snail rice noodles), is a pungent but addictive staple you can find at street stalls throughout the city. **🏪 Top Street Food Stalls** Head to the night market on Jiefang Road for grilled skewers and fried tofu, with most items costing 5-15 CNY. For the best luosifen, visit Sister Chen's Noodle Stall at 88 Renmin East Road, open from 6 PM to midnight. **🍽️ Best Sit-Down Restaurants** For a hearty meal, try Hechi Flavor Restaurant at 12 Chengbei Avenue, where a full meal for two runs about 80-120 CNY. Another excellent choice is Old Town Kitchen at 55 Zhongshan Road, known for its braised pork and pickled vegetables. **🥟 Breakfast Spots** Start your day at Morning Joy Eatery at 3 Jiefang Road, serving fresh rice rolls and soy milk from 6:30 AM. The nearby Li's Dumpling House at 7 Renmin West Road offers pork and chive dumplings for 8 CNY per dozen. **💰 Price Ranges and Tips** Street food meals typically cost 10-25 CNY, while a restaurant dinner for two ranges from 60 to 150 CNY. Bring cash as many smaller stalls do not accept mobile payments. **🚌 Getting to Food Areas** The main food districts are along Jiefang Road and Renmin Road, easily reached by bus lines 1, 2, and 5. Taxis from Hechi West Railway Station to the city center cost around 20 CNY and take 15 minutes. **🌙 Evening Food Scene** The night market on Jiefang Road comes alive after 7 PM, with dozens of stalls selling grilled fish, stinky tofu, and sugarcane juice. For a quieter evening, visit Riverside BBQ at 22 Binjiang Road, open until 11 PM. **🍵 Local Drinks and Desserts** Try the refreshing sugarcane juice sold at stalls for 5 CNY a cup, or sample the local herbal tea at Old Tea House at 9 Zhongshan Road. For dessert, the mango pomelo sago at Sweet Treats Cafe at 15 Chengbei Avenue is a favorite.
