**🍜 Local Noodle Shops** For a true taste of Anqiu, start at Lao Wang Beef Noodles on Heping Street, open daily from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A bowl of their hand-pulled beef noodles costs about 12 RMB, and the rich broth is simmered overnight. Arrive before noon to avoid the lunch rush, as the shop only has eight tables. **🥟 Must-Try Dumplings** Dumpling lovers should head to Xiang Man Lou Dumpling House at 88 Wenquan Road, where the pork and chive dumplings are a local favorite. Each order of 15 dumplings is 18 RMB, and they are made fresh to order. The restaurant is open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and you can watch the chefs roll and fold the wrappers by hand. **🍢 Street Food Stalls** The night market on Qingyun Street comes alive after 6:00 PM with dozens of stalls selling grilled skewers, stinky tofu, and candied hawthorns. Try the lamb skewers from Auntie Liu's stall, which cost 3 RMB each and are seasoned with cumin and chili. Most stalls accept cash or mobile payment, and prices range from 5 to 20 RMB per item. **🍲 Hotpot Restaurants** For a communal dining experience, visit Xiao Long Kan Hotpot at 56 Yingbin Avenue, a popular chain known for its spicy Sichuan-style broth. A meal for two with assorted meats and vegetables typically costs 150 to 200 RMB. The restaurant is open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and reservations are recommended on weekends. **🥘 Traditional Anqiu Dishes** To sample authentic local cuisine, book a table at Anqiu Flavor Restaurant, located at 12 Minsheng Road. Their signature dish, braised pork with preserved vegetables, is a hearty specialty that costs 38 RMB per serving. The restaurant also offers a set menu for 60 RMB per person, which includes several regional classics. It is open from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM daily. **🍰 Sweet Treats and Bakeries** For dessert, stop by Sweet Corner Bakery on Zhongxing Street, known for its egg tarts and red bean pastries. An egg tart costs 6 RMB, and a box of assorted pastries is 25 RMB. The bakery opens at 8:00 AM and often sells out of popular items by late afternoon, so go early. **🍵 Tea Houses and Cafes** If you need a break from eating, visit Qingyun Teahouse at 3 Qingyun Lane, where you can enjoy a pot of local jasmine tea for 30 RMB. The teahouse serves light snacks like sunflower seeds and dried fruit, and it is open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. For coffee, try Bean & Leaf Cafe on Wenquan Road, with cappuccinos at 22 RMB and free Wi-Fi. **💡 Budget and Value Tips** To save money, eat at food courts in shopping malls like Wanda Plaza, where a full meal costs 25 to 40 RMB. Many restaurants offer lunch specials from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, which are about 20 percent cheaper than dinner prices. Also, look for stalls with long queues, as locals know the best food is often where the line is longest.
