πŸ—ΊοΈ Orientation and Transport
Andijon is compact, so you can cover most central sights on foot, but you'll need taxis for the outlying spots. Yandex Go works well here, with short rides inside the city costing 8,000 to 15,000 som (about $0.70 to $1.30). A ride from the railway station to the center takes 15 to 20 minutes and costs around 20,000 som. For day trips, shared taxis from the Boburshoh market stand are the cheapest option, but agree on the price before you get in.

πŸ›οΈ Day 1 Morning: Central Core
Start at 9:00 at the Bobur Literary Museum on Bobur Street, which opens at 9:00 and charges a small entry fee (around 10,000 som). Spend an hour there, then walk five minutes to the Jome Mosque and Madrasah complex, a peaceful spot with carved wooden columns. By 11:00, head to the bustling Chorsu Bazaar to soak up the local atmosphere and sample fresh non and qatlama.

🍽️ Day 1 Afternoon: Lunch and Parks
For lunch, try the plov at the Chorsu Bazaar food stalls (around 25,000 som) or sit down at the Navruz restaurant on Navoi Street, where a full meal costs 40,000 to 60,000 som. After eating, walk off the calories in the leafy Babur Park, which has a small lake and a Ferris wheel. In the late afternoon, visit the Andijon Regional Museum of Local Lore on Uzbekskaya Street to see artifacts from the region's history.

πŸŒ† Day 1 Evening: Dinner and Stroll
As the sun sets, head to the newly renovated Andijon City Park, where locals gather around the fountains. Dinner options include the popular Shinok restaurant on Furkat Street, serving hearty Uzbek and Russian dishes for around 50,000 som per person. Finish the night with a stroll along the pedestrian-friendly Bobur Avenue, which is lively until about 10:00 PM.

πŸš• Day 2 Morning: Trip to Khanabad
Take a 30-minute shared taxi from Boburshoh market to Khanabad (around 10,000 som per person) to visit the Khanabad Museum of Local Lore, dedicated to the poet and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. The museum opens at 9:00 and is closed on Mondays. Afterward, explore the nearby Khanabad reservoir for a quick photo stop before heading back to Andijon by noon.

🍲 Day 2 Afternoon: Local Flavors
Back in Andijon, have lunch at the Central Asian Plov Center on Navoi Street, where a plate of wedding-style plov costs about 30,000 som. Then visit the Andijon Art Gallery on Pushkin Street to see works by local artists. If you have time, wander through the Navoi Park area and try some local halva from the street vendors.

πŸ›οΈ Day 2 Evening: Market and Dinner
Spend the late afternoon shopping for souvenirs at the Andijon branch of the Samarkand Darvoza market, where you can find traditional ceramics and textiles. For dinner, try the family-run Osh Markazi near the bazaar, known for its lagman and shashlik (around 35,000 som). The area stays busy until 9:00 PM, so you can take your time.

🏞️ Day 3 Morning: Nature Escape
Rent a taxi for the morning (about 100,000 som for three hours) to visit the scenic Khojaobod reservoir, a 30-minute drive from the city center. The reservoir offers walking paths and picnic spots with mountain views. On the way back, stop at the small village of Boz for a glimpse of rural life and fresh dairy products.

🍒 Day 3 Afternoon: Final Bites
Return to Andijon by 1:00 PM and have a final lunch at the Chorsu Bazaar, where you can try the local specialty, andijon palov, from the street cooks. After lunch, pick up some edible souvenirs like dried fruits and nuts from the bazaar stalls. Then head to the Andijon railway station for your onward journey, allowing 20 minutes for the taxi ride.

πŸ›οΈ Explore the Bobur House
The Bobur House Museum, at Bobur Street 1, honors the founder of the Mughal Empire and is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM (closed Mondays). Entry costs 10,000 som for adults, and the exhibits include rare manuscripts and a model of the emperor's garden. Insider tip: the courtyard's mulberry tree is said to be over 500 years old, and locals often sit beneath it for shade.

πŸ•Œ Visit the Jome Mosque
The Jome Mosque, located in the old town near the bazaar, dates back to the 19th century and features intricate carved wooden columns. It's free to enter and open from sunrise to sunset, but non-Muslims should dress modestly and avoid prayer times. The adjacent madrasa often hosts local artisans selling traditional knives and ceramics.

πŸ›οΈ Wander the Bazaar
The Andijon Bazaar, on Navoi Street, is the city's lively heart and busiest on Sunday mornings when farmers bring fresh produce from the Fergana Valley. You'll find everything from non bread and dried apricots to hand-painted suzani textiles; a kilo of tomatoes costs around 5,000 som. Insider tip: arrive before 10 AM to see the best selection and avoid the afternoon heat.

🌳 Relax in Navoi Park
Navoi Park, centrally located on Navoi Avenue, is a green oasis with a small lake, a Ferris wheel, and plenty of benches for people-watching. Entry is free, and the park is open from 7 AM to 10 PM; the Ferris wheel costs 15,000 som per ride. In summer, families gather here in the evenings for ice cream and strolls along the tree-lined paths.

🍲 Taste Local Cuisine
Andijon is famous for its plov, and the best place to try it is at the Chorsu Teahouse near the bazaar, where a plate costs around 25,000 som and is served with hot tea. For a quick bite, try the samsa from street vendors near the Bobur House for 5,000 som each. Insider tip: the city's signature dish is 'Andijon palov,' which includes raisins and chickpeas, giving it a distinct sweet and savory flavor.

🎭 Catch a Cultural Show
The Andijon Regional Theater, on Pushkin Street, hosts traditional Uzbek dance and music performances, usually on Friday and Saturday evenings at 6 PM. Tickets range from 20,000 to 50,000 som and can be bought at the box office an hour before the show. Even if you don't understand Uzbek, the colorful costumes and energetic performances are worth experiencing.

🚌 Getting Around Town
Andijon is compact and easy to navigate; most sights are within walking distance of the center. Shared taxis (marshrutkas) cost around 2,000 som per ride, and you can flag them down on any main street. For a more comfortable option, use the Yandex Go app to hail a taxi; a trip across town typically costs 10,000 to 15,000 som.

πŸ’‘ Practical Tips for Visitors
The best time to visit is April to June or September to October, when the weather is mild and the bazaars are overflowing with seasonal fruit. Bring cash in small denominations, as many small vendors and museums don't accept cards. Also, note that Andijon is a conservative city, so dress modestly and always ask before taking photos of people.

Solid list. I'd add the Babur literary museum crowd is thinner on weekday afternoons, and the teahouses along the Anhor canal do a better plov than the tourist spots. Ask for the kazi there too.

the Chorsu Teahouse plov is good but I'd honestly skip the theater and catch a wedding at the Yangi Bozor instead, way more fun

Khan Atlas silk workshop, ask for the loom room.
