yeah the cricketers and three horsehoes are both good shouts but honestly the bricklayers arms on station road is the one nobody talks about. it's a tiny pub with no food menu just crisps and nuts but the landlord keeps a proper cellar and the guinness is the best in bagshot, better than anywhere else in surrey tbh. they open at 4 on weekdays which is annoying but worth planning around
solid list, one thing i'd add is the little book swap box outside the village hall on park street, it's under the tree by the bench and has a surprisingly good selection for such a small thing, i found a first edition dickens in there once. also the canal towpath walk is nice but if you go past the golf course there's a hidden pond with a rope swing that kids use in summer, you can hear the m25 from there but it's still peaceful somehow

One thing I'd add - if you're after a cheap night out, the Bagshot Arms does a curry night on Wednesdays where any curry is Β£8 with rice or naan included. The chef there used to run a place in Camberley and his lamb bhuna is genuinely better than most proper curry houses.
For the free stuff, the Bagshot Heath nature reserve has a hidden pond about a mile in that most visitors miss. Take the left path at the old oak tree and you'll find it after about 10 minutes. Good for a quiet picnic spot and you'll rarely see anyone else there.
the Too Good To Go tip is legit, i've snagged some proper dinners from the Bagshot Arms for Β£3.50 - once got a full roast chicken with veg and roasties. but the Duke's Head pizza deal on tuesdays is the real hidden gem, that 2-for-1 is for any pizza on the menu not just the basic ones, and they do a decent spicy pepperoni one
for the market on thursday, get there before 9am if you want the best stuff. the veg guy near the war memorial sells out of his tomatoes by 10 usually, they're way better than supermarket ones. also the bakery stall has day-old pastries for 50p which is mental
one thing the guide missed - the Bagshot Library film screenings are good but they fill up fast, like 20 seats max. get there 15 mins early or you're standing. also they do a free coffee and biscuit before it starts which is nice
honestly that guide is pretty solid, i've lived here three years and most of it holds up. one thing i'd add - the Bagshot Lodge is fine but the Premier Inn is actually quieter since it's set back from the main road, and if you book direct on their app you can snag a double for Β£49 sometimes, not just Β£55.
for food, the Golden Retriever's Sunday roast is good but get there by 11:30 or you'll queue for an hour. also the Cricketers does a killer full english for Β£7.50 if you ask for the "builder's breakfast" - it's not on the menu but they always say yes
the bus pass tip is spot on but tbh the 3 route is unreliable after 6pm, i've waited 40 mins before. if you're heading to Camberley after dark just get the train, it's Β£3.20 single and runs every 20 mins til midnight
bagshot park grounds are free but the actual house tours are Β£8 and only run on sundays, just fyi. the nature reserve is better for a proper walk anyway, you can see deer most mornings around 7am
