yeah the farmers market tip is solid, that honey is unreal. another thing worth doing is the sunday carvery at the fox & hounds on london road, it's a bit further out but the roast beef is proper and they do a decent yorkshire pud. about Β£15 for two courses and you'll leave stuffed
also if you're into history the bagshot museum is tiny but the guy who runs it is a proper local historian, he'll chat your ear off about the old coaching inns and the turnpike. worth popping in on a saturday just to hear his stories
fwiw the cycling route they mentioned is solid but the bike hire at bagshot bikes is a bit pricey for what it is, you're better off bringing your own if you can. the section through swinley forest is where it's at, there's actual mountain bike trails with jumps and berms if you're into that, not just flat canal paths
one thing nobody's mentioned is the bagshot sunday league football at the recreation ground, it's proper village stuff with a burger van and families watching from deckchairs. completely free and the atmosphere is way better than you'd expect for a sunday morning kickabout
and if you're here on a tuesday the lightwater country park does a little guided bird walk at 8am, it's only a fiver and the guy who leads it knows every single bird call within a mile radius
the canal walk is good but if you've got a dog the best spot is actually curley's hill, it's a bit of a climb off the a30 but the view over bagshot and towards windsor castle on a clear day is worth it. just park at the little layby near the golf course and follow the path up
also the avenue sainsbury's has a decent bakery section if you're after a quick lunch, their sausage rolls are better than greggs and about the same price. grab one and sit on the bench by the canal for a proper bagshot moment

fwiw the basement is prob the best kept secret in bagshot, the dj there on saturdays plays a lot of 90s house which is rare for this town. i went last weekend and it wasnt crowded at all before 11, plus their cocktails are like Β£2 cheaper than the velvet lounge
one thing the guide missed is the beer garden at the duke's head, it's out back and has heaters so it works year round. nice spot if the fireplace area is packed
oh and if u drive, theres a free car park behind the crown inn after 6pm, saves u the hassle of finding street parking near the high street
seconding the duke's head beer garden tip, it's honestly the best spot in bagshot when the weather's decent. they do a decent sunday roast there too if you're around during the day, Β£14 for the beef which is fair for the portion size
one thing i'd add is the bagshot arms does a monthly open mic night on the last wednesday, it's free entry and you get some proper random stuff from local musicians. i saw a guy play a kazoo cover of smells like teen spirit there once, was actually hilarious
also the 24-hour diner is the move for late night, their bacon sarnie is way better than the kebab house and it's like Β£4.50. just dont sit in the booth near the toilets, the smell is rough
if you're into something other than the standard club scene, the blue note on a thursday is worth checking out. the jazz trio they have on is usually pretty good and it stays chill enough that you can actually talk to people without shouting. no cover before 10pm is nice but i'd get there around 9:30 to grab a seat near the bar
also, the glasshouse rooftop is decent but only if it's not raining, the cover they put up when the weather's bad traps all the smoke and it gets stuffy fast. the wine list there is better than the crown inn's though, they have a spanish red for like Β£8 a glass that's actually drinkable
one thing i'd add is the bagshot station car park is free after 8pm if you're driving in. saves a few quid compared to the pay-and-display near the high street
