ngl the pizza express mention is fair for families but if you want proper italian there's a spot on the high street called La Lanterna that does a really good spaghetti vongole for like Β£11. it's a tiny place with like 4 tables and the owner's this old italian guy who'll talk your ear off about wine pairings. cash only though, learned that the hard way

also if you're after a proper pub atmosphere, the red lion on guildford road has a beer garden out back that catches the afternoon sun. it's a proper suntrap from about 2pm onwards, and they do a really good ploughman's for Β£9 with a massive wedge of stilton and homemade chutney

The Cricketers does a decent Sunday roast for about Β£16 but I actually prefer the Plough and Sail on Guildford Road for their quieter beer garden and proper ale selection. One small correction, the museum is only open Saturdays but they sometimes open the second Saturday of the month for special exhibits, best to check their Facebook page before making the trip.
yeah the guide's pretty solid. one thing i'd add is that if you're into walking, the path from bagshot park into swinley forest isnt well marked near the back gate, youll end up in someone's garden if you follow the wrong track. stick to the main bridleway past the kennels and you're fine. also the bagshot library wifi is free but you need to ask at the desk for the password, they dont put it up anywhere.
honestly the guide nails the basics but one thing that catches people out is that the co-op closes at 10pm not midnight like in london so stock up earlier if you need snacks for a late night. also if you're driving to bagshot park theres a small layby on the A30 just past the roundabout that's free and rarely full, saves the Β£3 parking fee at the main gate. the olde house does a decent afternoon tea but their cream tea deal is actually a fiver cheaper on weekdays between 2-4pm if you ask for it, they dont advertise it.
