one thing id add: day 2 works better in reverse. hit the railway museum first at 9 then the botanical garden after, because the NPK viewpoint gets brutal midday glare and you'll see way more of the pit in morning light. also the drama theater box office is weird about same-day tickets so grab those a day ahead
for the metro dont sleep on the fact that it doubles as a city tour, the above-ground stretch near Budynok Rad is genuinely worth the 8 hryvnia on its own

the botanical garden entry is actually worth double checking, last time i went it was 30 uah only on weekdays & weekends they bump it a bit. also nobody ever mentions this but the greenhouse section closes for lunch around 1 which the guide glosses over
