russian supermarket?

is there any store sell russian foods and goods in bangkok? how are the prices? is there any store sell russian foods and goods in bangkok? how are the prices?

another one people miss is on sukhumvit soi 22, down the little alley near the washinton square area. it's called russian deli & grocery, run by an older couple. they do homemade varenyky on weekends and have a good selection of sausages and smoked fish. prices are fine, like 250 baht for a decent pack of dumplings

for fresh stuff like rye bread or cottage cheese your best bet is still the weekend farmers market at jodd fairs tho, there's a russian guy who bakes from home and sells there. he's usually near the back by the clothing stalls

there's a spot in pratunam called russian corner at the nana area, not the main soi 4 one but a smaller shop near soi 3. they have canned stuff, frozen pelmeni, and some sweets. prices are a bit higher than back home but still ok for the convenience, like 100-150 baht for a can of buckwheat or condensed milk. if you're after fresh bread or cheese you might be disappointed, it's mostly shelf-stable goods

honestly the best spot is matryoshka on sukhumvit 23, right in the small soi behind asok bts. they have frozen pelmeni, buckwheat, canned fish, even kvass sometimes. prices are higher than thai stuff but still reasonable for imports, like 200-300 baht for a pack of dumplings

if u want cheaper stuff try the russian section at villa market on suk 33, they have basic staples like rye bread and condensed milk for less than the specialty shops

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
