Fav cafe/roasters in Bangkok? Major + if they're dark/medium roast

Can anyone recommend any coffee shops, preferably that are dark/medium roast and sell beans so I can bring some home with me. Where I live a lot of shops are light roast which I'm not a fan of. I'll be in the sukhumvit area but I'm willing to travel anywhere in Bangkok. Thanks everyone!

I'd make the trip over to Nana Coffee Roasters near BTS Ari. They do a Vietnam-style drip with their darker roast that's pretty unique in Bangkok, and they sell whole beans in those nice tins. The medium-dark "Black Gold" blend is their best seller for a reason, it works great as a filter or espresso and doesn't get bitter. If you want something closer to Sukhumvit, Copaque on Soi 23 does a Thai Robusta blend that's full-bodied and they'll let you try a pour-over before buying the beans.

honestly skip the tourist spots and head to gallery drip coffee near bts phra khanong. they do a bangkok blend that's medium-dark and really smooth, plus they roast in house so the beans are fresh. the owner is super chill about letting you smell before buying. if you're near sukhumvit 38, mother roaster is a tiny spot that does a solid dark roast espresso blend and sells bags for like 250 baht which is a steal compared to the fancy places

honestly if you're near sukhumvit just hit up factory coffee at victory monument, it's a short bts ride. they do their own blend called "the factory" which is a solid medium-dark, not too bitter. their beans are around 350-400 baht per bag and they roast in house so it's fresh. i'd skip the touristy ones near nana if you want real depth of flavor, factory's consistency is better.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
