Does JJ Green market still exist?
yeah jj green is gone unfortunately, they turned it into a park and some condo construction. if u want that same chaotic market energy, train night market srinakarin is prob your best bet, it's huge and has that vintage vibe jj green had. just gotta taxi out there, it's a bit south of the city center
yeah it's still around but it moved a bit. it's not at the old spot near chatuchak park anymore, it's now called jj green market 2 and it's behind the main chatuchak weekend market area, closer to kamphaeng phet 2 road. still has that same chaotic vibe with cheap eats and vintage clothes, just a little harder to find. the soi dog noodle stall is still there though, that's what matters
yeah the original one on kamphaeng phet 2 road is gone, closed for good around 2020. jj green 2 is open though, it's right behind chatuchak park near the mo chit bts, just a 5 min walk from the old spot. they kept the name but it's more organized and a bit smaller, still has good food stalls and vintage clothes but lost that chaotic charm the old one had. if you're after that raw night market feel, try talad rot fai srinakarin instead, it's further out but much closer to what you remember

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
