Best place to get shrooms?

ngl the koh san road thing is overrated and overpriced. if you're up for a short trip i'd hit up koh phangan during a full moon week, the mushroom shakes at the beach bars in haad rin are consistently good and you know exactly what you're getting. for bangkok itself though, i've had better luck at the jazz bars around sukhumvit soi 11, some of the bartenders there make their own tinctures and will slide you a vial if you ask for a "vitamin shot"

honestly i wouldn't ask around too publicly, cops do sting operations for this stuff sometimes. if u really wanna find some, khao san road late at night there's always sketchy dudes whispering "mushroom" but quality is hit or miss

If you're near the backpacker areas and want something less sketchy than street dealers, try chatting up staff at the weed dispensaries on Rambutri. A lot of them are pretty chill and know the local scene, they might point you toward a reliable source over a drink. That said, the "happy shakes" at certain reggae bars around Banglamphu are a safer bet than buying raw mushrooms, just go slow with them because the potency varies wildly.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
