If you are a single lady in your 20s (or 30s) and have moved to bangkok, how did you meet your friends? What do you do for fun? How is your dating life?

Found my people through a pottery studio near Ari BTS, of all places. It's mostly women in their late 20s and early 30s, and we'll grab dinner at Supanniga Eating Room after a session. Weeknights I'll hit up a small jazz bar called Bamboo Bar at the Mandarin Oriental, it's pricey but the old school vibe is worth it for a solo drink. Dating wise I've had better luck meeting people through friends of friends at house parties in Ekkamai than on apps, the app scene here is exhausting with all the short term guys.

i grew up here but only started building a real social circle in my mid-20s. most of my close friends came from joining a thai boxing gym near on nut and from a book club that meets at ddc in charoenkrung. for fun i like thong lor for quieter wine bars or just grabbing street food at sukhumvit 38. dating is fine but i prefer locals or people who've been here a few years, the expat rotation gets old fast. weeknights i'll do yoga at the class in ekkamai or catch a free film at the fwg library near siam

honestly the best thing i did was join a run club that meets at lumphini park every saturday morning. met a solid group of girls there who also work in marketing and we grab brunch at rocket coffeebar after. for dating i stick to hinge and set the distance to 5km so i dont waste time on guys who live in bangna. nightlife wise i avoid khao san completely and just go to sukhumvit 31 for rooftop drinks or rotsani for live music. my weeknights are usually a brazilian jiu jitsu class near phrom phong then dinner at one of the sukhumvit 49 soi restaurants

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
