where can i get a nice tattoo without appointment?

arrow_drop_up 2595 arrow_drop_down

there's a spot called ink house on surawong road, not far from the patpong area, that does walk-ins pretty reliably. i got a geometric piece there on a saturday afternoon, waited maybe 40 minutes, cost me 1800 baht for something about the size of a credit card. the guy who did it was super meticulous with the shading, worth checking their portfolio on the wall before committing

honestly just walk into Bang Rak or Khao San, most shops there take walk-ins. My buddy got work done at Black Pig Tattoo near Saphan Taksin, no appointment, turned out solid. Prices vary a lot so check the stencil first, some places charge like 3000 baht for a small piece.

if you're around sukhumvit, check out the places on soi 11 or soi 4, they usually have flash sheets out front and a sign saying walk-ins welcome. i'd skip the big shops on khao san unless you want something super basic, the artists there can be hit or miss. for a good mid-range spot, try inkception near on nut, they're chill about drop-ins and the line work is clean, expect to pay around 1500-2000 for a palm-sized design

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
