Headed to the nearest 7-Eleven, everyone says they're EVERYWHERE in Thailand, and they weren't kidding. Grabbed a pack of those weird-flavored potato chips (wasabi mayo, don't judge) and this surprisingly decent cup of ramen. My question is: do the 7-Elevens in other countries have the same crazy snack selection as the ones in Thailand? It was an adventure just browsing. Seriously, the variety was insane!

You should try the 7-Eleven in South Korea if you get a chance. Their triangle kimbap and those little plastic cups of rice cake soup are a different kind of late night fix, more savory and filling than the snack chaos here. Thailand's still wins for pure weirdness though, I spotted frozen durian sticky rice popsicles once and that was a choice I will never forget.

japan's 7elevens are cleaner and have that perfect egg sandwich but thailand's is pure survival snack chaos. the real hidden gem is the frozen section with those little bags of pork jerky that you microwave, they're like 25 baht and way better than any beef jerky i've had. the us ones are just sad gas stations with hot dogs that have been spinning for 6 hours

honestly, japan's 7-eleven is the only one that comes close but it's a different vibe. their onigiri and egg sando game is unmatched but thailand's is just pure snack chaos. i've seen 7-eleven in the US and it's sad compared to this. you'd prob find more excitement in a gas station bathroom

the real pro move is hitting up those hot case items in the back. the little sausages on sticks and the steamed buns are legit better than some street food stalls i've been to. and the tomyum mama noodles they microwave for you? dangerous at 2am

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
