My first ideas are:
Nana, around soi 11? (Ambassador Hotel, The Landmark?)
Soi Cowboy, but which hotels? (Jasmine City?)… Pattaya experience, in the meaning of, beer bars and "friendly" girls/boys.

u should consider soi twilight in silom if u want a mix of bars & friendly boys, its bangkok's main gay nightlife area with a similar vibe. for hotels the silom serenity or the narai hotel are both in your budget & a very short walk from the action so u dont have to deal with taxis late.
honestly nana plaza is the spot for that pattaya beer bar feel, its three floors of exactly what ur looking for. i'd skip the landmark and look at hotels directly on soi 4 like the nana hotel or the dynasty grande, both in your budget and u cant get closer. soi cowboy is fun but its more of a single lane, nana has more variety and street energy.
Check out Thermae on Sukhumvit Soi 13, it's a famous late-night spot with that vibe. For a hotel, the Grand Business Inn on Soi 11 is a solid, no-fuss pick in your budget and an easy walk from there.
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
