Apparently, it offers insane city views, but finding accurate info online is like searching for a needle in a haystack of overly-polished marketing. Anyone who's been there recently, what's the actual vibe? Is it worth battling the likely throngs of people for a drink, or is it all hype? Seriously considering ordering room service instead, but...views, man...views.

if ur going up there just for the view honestly walk 5 min to the miramar ferris wheel area or better yet hit a taipei 101 observatory ticket at sunset instead, cheaper and no NT$500 minimum. the terrace is fine but its mostly a business small talk scene, ppl in suits half watching the skyline half checking their phones. i'd do one drink there then bail to a rechao spot on linsen north road for actual taipei vibes

The bar is on the 20th floor of the Taipei Marriott on Lequn 2nd Road in Zhongshan District, and it's called The Terrace. Go on a weeknight before 7pm, the after work crowd doesn't hit until later and you can usually grab a seat along the window facing the Taipei 101 side. Drinks run around NT$450 to 600 which is steep, but you're paying for the view, not the cocktails. If you want the same skyline without the minimum spend nonsense, the bar at the Grand Hyatt a few blocks over is a decent backup.

If you have personal experience with a place that helped alleviate jaw tightness or related headaches, please share: - The name of the establishment - The specific treatment you received - Whether you noticed a significant improvement

For muscle-based jaw tightness, the traditional 推拿 places often do better than the fancy facial spas, and they're cheaper. There's a small 國術館 near Shuanglian I go to for neck and jaw stuff, the guy works the masseter from outside and does traction on the cervical spine, which is where a lot of referred jaw tension actually starts. Around NT$800 for 40 minutes, no booking app, you just walk in. It won't fix a real joint problem but if your issue is muscular clenching it's worth a try.

if its actual tmj stuff and not just cosmetic face massage, go see a dentist who does 咬合板 (occlusal splint) first, the massage places treat the symptom not the joint. dr chen at a clinic off fuxing south road near daan park sorted my clicking in like 3 visits, mostly by adjusting my bite & giving me a night guard. the relief from that lasted way longer than any spa facial i tried

my physio at a small clinic near Liuzhangli MRT did intraoral work on my masseter and pterygoid muscles, basically gloved finger inside the cheek releasing trigger points. weird at first but it fixed the morning headaches within maybe 4 sessions. its not a spa thing at all, its rehab, so book it as a medical visit. 針灸 also helped me, the needles go in the jaw and temple, but the physio did more for the actual tightness.
