Heard it's amazing, but the menu's all in Chinese and I'm clueless. Any tips on ordering something actually good, not just the basic stuff? I wanna try something truly authentic, you know? I'm picturing myself accidentally ordering something weirdly sweet or something... Really hoping to avoid that.

fwiw the fried "beef" rice plate is slept on at that spot, it's like the last item on the top row. comes with a side of pickled mustard greens that balances the savory really well and the texture is closer to actual beef than the noodle versions. just point at the menu and say chao fan if you're nervous, they'll get it

ngl the dry version is the move but if u want something even more unique try the sour pickle "beef" noodles, it's the fourth or fifth item on the menu near the bottom. it's got that tangy broth that cuts through the richness and doesn't lean sweet at all, plus the pickled veggies are legit. just point at the characters that look like 酸菜 if u can spot em

oh man that place is legit, the secret is to order the niu rou jiang mian not the default soup noodles, it's the dry version with minced "beef" that's way more flavorful and not sweet at all. just point at the third item on the menu if you're lost, that's prob it

If you have personal experience with a place that helped alleviate jaw tightness or related headaches, please share: - The name of the establishment - The specific treatment you received - Whether you noticed a significant improvement

For muscle-based jaw tightness, the traditional 推拿 places often do better than the fancy facial spas, and they're cheaper. There's a small 國術館 near Shuanglian I go to for neck and jaw stuff, the guy works the masseter from outside and does traction on the cervical spine, which is where a lot of referred jaw tension actually starts. Around NT$800 for 40 minutes, no booking app, you just walk in. It won't fix a real joint problem but if your issue is muscular clenching it's worth a try.

if its actual tmj stuff and not just cosmetic face massage, go see a dentist who does 咬合板 (occlusal splint) first, the massage places treat the symptom not the joint. dr chen at a clinic off fuxing south road near daan park sorted my clicking in like 3 visits, mostly by adjusting my bite & giving me a night guard. the relief from that lasted way longer than any spa facial i tried

my physio at a small clinic near Liuzhangli MRT did intraoral work on my masseter and pterygoid muscles, basically gloved finger inside the cheek releasing trigger points. weird at first but it fixed the morning headaches within maybe 4 sessions. its not a spa thing at all, its rehab, so book it as a medical visit. 針灸 also helped me, the needles go in the jaw and temple, but the physio did more for the actual tightness.
