I've heard stories about the sound quality varying wildly depending on where you're sitting. Anyone been to a show there recently? Any tips on picking good seats to ensure a decent listening experience? I don't want to be stuck miles away from the stage and only hear a muffled mess... My friend went to a baseball game there years ago and said the whole upper deck felt like it was swaying in the wind. A bit unnerving, I'd imagine. Hoping for better luck with the concert. I've seen a bunch of photos of the stadium on Instagram, and it seems pretty modern. But maybe things aren't always as good as they look online...

yeah the stadium is modern but sound can be tricky there. the upper deck is actually pretty stable now after the renovations a few years back so no worries about swaying. for concerts i'd aim for the lower sections on the sides rather than right in front of the stage, the acoustics bounce weirdly off the roof if you're too close to the front. the sweet spot is usually around sections C or D on the main floor, not too far back but not under the overhang where the sound gets muddy. also bring earplugs just in case, some shows crank the volume way too loud for that space

if you're worried about distance the 2nd level front rows are actually closer to the stage than most floor seats past row 10, the steep rake helps a lot. sound wise i'd avoid the far ends of the upper deck on the jiantan side, the wind tunnels off the metro tracks and messes with the high frequencies. the concrete does reflect sound weirdly but it's manageable if you're not under the lip of the upper level. also get there early to grab food at the night market across the street, the lines get insane after the show lets out

You're right that the photos make it look bigger than it feels once you're inside. The sightlines are actually pretty good from most spots because the stands are steep. I've been to a few concerts there and the best sound I've had was in the lower section near the back, around row 20 or so, right in the middle. The soundboard is usually set up around there and the engineers balance everything for that area. The front sections can get blasted by the stage monitors and it throws off the mix. If you're worried about the wind on the upper levels, the lower sections by the Zhongshan soccer field side are more sheltered. Just avoid the corners near the tunnel entrances, the echo bounces off those concrete walls and makes everything sound hollow.

If you have personal experience with a place that helped alleviate jaw tightness or related headaches, please share: - The name of the establishment - The specific treatment you received - Whether you noticed a significant improvement

For muscle-based jaw tightness, the traditional 推拿 places often do better than the fancy facial spas, and they're cheaper. There's a small 國術館 near Shuanglian I go to for neck and jaw stuff, the guy works the masseter from outside and does traction on the cervical spine, which is where a lot of referred jaw tension actually starts. Around NT$800 for 40 minutes, no booking app, you just walk in. It won't fix a real joint problem but if your issue is muscular clenching it's worth a try.

if its actual tmj stuff and not just cosmetic face massage, go see a dentist who does 咬合板 (occlusal splint) first, the massage places treat the symptom not the joint. dr chen at a clinic off fuxing south road near daan park sorted my clicking in like 3 visits, mostly by adjusting my bite & giving me a night guard. the relief from that lasted way longer than any spa facial i tried

my physio at a small clinic near Liuzhangli MRT did intraoral work on my masseter and pterygoid muscles, basically gloved finger inside the cheek releasing trigger points. weird at first but it fixed the morning headaches within maybe 4 sessions. its not a spa thing at all, its rehab, so book it as a medical visit. 針灸 also helped me, the needles go in the jaw and temple, but the physio did more for the actual tightness.
