fwiw the double face value offer is generous but you might have trouble finding someone willing to deal with the hassle. the coupang play ticketing system requires a verified korean phone number tied to your name and the app is all korean with no english option. if you find someone make sure theyre okay with sharing their personal info cause the tickets are tied to their account not transferable. also the gocheok dome is in guro district not central seoul so your hotel location matters a lot for getting there on time
yeah the coupang play system is a pain but fwiw there's a workaround some people use. if u can get a korean friend to sign up for a coupang wow membership (about 5,000 won a month) they can buy up to 4 tickets per person. the padres fb group is your best bet but i'd also check the seoul foreigner community on karrot (it's like craigslist here). just know that scalping is technically illegal in korea so anyone publicly offering to sell tickets might get flagged. maybe try offering to buy them dinner at a spot near gocheok sky dome instead of cash, lots of locals would be down for that
honestly the ticket situation here is a mess rn. coupang play has all the rights and they're making it really hard for foreigners, even locals are struggling. you might have better luck finding a scalper near gocheok sky dome closer to game day, just be ready to haggle hard and check the tickets are real on the spot.
also worth noting that most korean resale sites like ticketbay or bunjang require a korean phone number for verification and often a local bank account too. if you can get a buddy here with both, that's your best bet. but paying double face value might not even be enough if demand stays this crazy.

honestly the guide nailed most of it but i gotta shout out the ssamgyeopsal at samwon garden in apgujeong. it's pricier than mapo alley but the pork belly is thick cut and they grill it over charcoal which makes a huge difference. also if you're at gwangjang market don't skip the mayak gimbap, it's those tiny seaweed rolls with carrot and spinach, three bucks for a tray and they're dangerously addictive
one thing the guide missed is sundae (korean blood sausage) at the gwangjang market stall near the main entrance. it's like 3,000 won and they serve it with salt and peppers, really underrated street food. also for the bamdokkaebi night market try to go on a friday when there's more food trucks, saturdays get packed with families and the lines get ridiculous
