I'm travelling to Seoul for 4-5 days, what are the things I should do?

Hi guys :) I'm planning on coming to Seoul with my wife on our honeymoon at end of March. Please recommend things we can do: activities, site seeing, food etc.

Thanks so much!!

End of March is a good time to hit up the royal tombs rather than the main palaces. Jongmyo Shrine is right next to Changdeokgung but way quieter, and the guided tour explains why it's a UNESCO site. For a date night, book a table at Tosokchon Samgyetang near Gyeongbokgung for their ginseng chicken soup, it's famous for a reason and the broth is perfect for the still chilly evenings. One underrated spot is the Seoul City Wall trail starting at Naksan Park, you get a great view of the old gate and the city skyline without the N Seoul Tower crowds. Also, grab a coffee at Anthracite in Hannam, it's in a converted shoe factory and the space is huge with high ceilings.

honestly if you're coming for a honeymoon I'd skip the touristy palace circuit and do a hanok stay in bukchon instead, even just one night. waking up in a traditional house with the heated floors and having coffee at one of those tiny rooftop cafes with a view of the old rooftops is way more memorable than lining up at gyeongbokgung. for a nice dinner without the insane price tag of jungsik or mingles, try min's kitchen in hannam-dong, it's korean fusion but cozy and the chef comes out to chat sometimes. also if the weather's decent, rent bikes and ride along the han river from yeouido to banpo bridge, there's a night fountain show at 8pm that's free and pretty cute for a date

congrats on the honeymoon dude. end of march is perfect timing for cherry blossoms if they bloom early, check out seokchon lake near jamsil or yeouido park for that. for food, skip myeongdong street stalls and go to mangwon market instead, way less touristy and the tteokbokki there is legit. also take a cable car up namsan but go on a weekday morning to avoid the lines, sunset view from the tower is pretty romantic. one thing people miss is a walk along cheonggyecheon stream at night, it's chill and lit up nicely, good for a quiet moment with your wife

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
