best riverside park in Seoul for a lazy weekend 2026

fmd_goodRiverside Park · #seoul #riverside #yeouido
honestly trying to figure out which riverside park is worth the trip in 2026. I keep hearing about the Yeouido one but is the Riverside Park near it any quieter on weekends? honestly trying to figure out which riverside park is worth the trip in 2026. Yeouido's fine but packed on saturdays. tbh I prefer Banpo on teh north side, quieter and the bike path is smoother. Go before 10am, grab a spot near Dongjak bridge and you'll have room.

Ttukseom, sunday evenings. way less crowded

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Sunday evenings work because the food trucks at Ttukseom clear out by 8, leaving the stretch near Jayang Bridge basically empty.

the park by the bridge is quieter than the main one

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Same logic applies at Ichon, much emptier past Hangang Bridge.

Ichon past the bridge is solid, but the stretch near the Wonhyo Bridge underpass gets noisy with the riverside road traffic so aim west of it.

Past the bridge only holds up if you go early, by noon the picnic crowd drifts in from the station. Aim for the stretch closer to the expressway overpass and you'll actually get some quiet.

arrow_drop_up -4 arrow_drop_down

agreed, and the stretch east of Banpo bridge is even quieter

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yep east of Banpo is the move. only thing id add is the stretch past the Jamsu bridge gets muddy after rain so check the forecast. also the convenience store by the ramp closes around 10pm which caught me out last time

that ramp store reopened late last month, 11pm now

Baker's Table in Yeonnam does a proper chewy New York style, way less crowded than the hype spots.

Agreed on the chew, though I'd put the garlic schmear at Huckleberry in Hannam right up there too.

I've only visited Seoul, but I'd say the bagels at Cafe Onion in Seongsu are worth the detour.

Onion's Anguk branch beats it for the croissant.
