one thing nobody mentioned is the wind direction changes fast near the river but you can kinda predict it by watching the flags on the banpo bridge, if theyre pointing south the gusts come from the seobinggo side and you gotta aim left of goal to compensate. also if you lose a ball dont bother chasing it downstream, just walk up to the icc building security and ask if they grabbed it, those guys find like 5 balls a day and keep em in a bucket by the front desk

The wind at Ichonjigu is no joke, it sweeps straight off the river with nothing to break it. If you're playing alone or with just a couple people, head toward the patch near Yongsan Family Park's edge where the embankment blocks some of the gusts. For the ball situation, grab a cheap mesh laundry bag from Daiso and tie it to your backpack strap, keeps the spare from rolling away while you chase the main one.

ngl the wind is part of the charm at ichonjigu but it does suck when you're losing balls. a trick i picked up from the regulars there is to aim for the goal posts themselves instead of the net, the metal frame makes a sound you can track even in the gusts so you know where your shot went. also if you're there on a weekday afternoon the old guys playing badminton near the pavilion usually have a mesh net they're not using, ask politely and they'll let you set it up as a windbreak on one side of the field, saves a lot of chasing

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
