The staff were great, the room was spotless...but I swear I heard something weird at night. Like, a faint scratching, then a low hum? It only happened once, but it was so unnerving. Anyone else experienced anything odd there? I'm trying to figure out if it was just the pipes or something else entirely. It's near the main shopping district, but felt kinda removed from the hustle and bustle of @Seoul. Maybe it was just my jet lag messing with me, who knows?

Weird. I've stayed at a bunch of hotels in Seoul, and never heard anything like that. Could have been the pipes, sure. Old buildings sometimes make odd noises. But a hum? That's a bit unusual. Maybe check online reviews, see if anyone else mentions anything similar? Sometimes a quick search helps narrow things down. Or, you know, it could just be your brain playing tricks after a long flight. Sleep deprivation does weird things to you.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, pipes or something. But it was a constant, low hum... like a really deep, persistent drone. Not a creak or a bang, just... hummmmm. I checked reviews; nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Maybe it was just me. Long flight, jet lag...you're probably right about that. Still kinda creepy though. Thanks for the input!

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
