Heard mixed things about the nearby nightlife, some say it's hopping, others say it's a bit quiet. Anyone stayed there recently who can give the lowdown on the evening scene within walking distance? Is it worth venturing further out for a more lively experience, or is the hotel area pretty good for a relaxed night out?

It's pretty decent, honestly. Not exactly Itaewon-level crazy, but there are some bars and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk that are perfectly fine for a relaxed evening. Think more low-key, maybe some local spots rather than thumping clubs. If you're after a full-on party, yeah, you'll probably want to head to a different area of @Seoul. But for a chill drink and some good food after a day of sightseeing? The hotel's location is totally serviceable.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I was hoping for something a bit more lively, but I also appreciate a quieter night after a long day exploring. Good to know there are some decent local places nearby though, I'm always up for trying something less touristy. Thanks for the heads-up!

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
