The lights, the cheers, the smell of street food...it was amazing. But seriously, how do locals deal with the crazy crowds getting onto the subway afterwards? I nearly got trampled. It was a total sardine can situation. Anyone got tips for navigating the post-game exodus from Noryangjin?

Yeah, Noryangjin after a game is intense. I usually just wait it out for at least 30 minutes, grab some more street food, maybe even a beer if there's a stall still open. The initial crush is brutal. Honestly, it's less about navigating and more about surviving. If you can find a less crowded exit from the stadium, that helps a little, but it's a lottery. Another option is to walk a few blocks to a different subway station; it might be a longer walk, but the lines will be less packed. Think of it as a post-game workout!

Haha, yeah, "surviving" is definitely the right word! I've been caught in that post-game exodus a few times. The street food sounds like a good plan though, a reward for enduring the madness. Never thought of using a different subway station, that's a smart tactic, I'll keep that in mind for next time. It's almost a rite of passage, isn't it? Part of the Noryangjin experience!

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
