Lost Luggage at Hamilton?

It was a checked bag, and it just... vanished. I filed a report, of course, but I'm curious, has anyone else ever had this happen at the Hamilton? I'm dying to know if they found my vintage vinyl collection, which was inside. Seriously, it's worth more than my rent!!

I'd call the Hamilton's housekeeping supervisor directly, not just the front desk or claims line. The number isn't listed on their website, but if you ask for the head of housekeeping by name when you call the main line, they'll patch you through. Housekeeping at the Hamilton rotates through a storage room on the B1 floor near the laundry, and sometimes bags get tucked behind racks there and forgotten for weeks. I've heard of three separate incidents at that hotel where lost luggage turned up there after the claims office had already closed the case.

honestly the Hamilton is pretty notorious for this kinda thing, it's not just you. I've heard more stories about stuff disappearing from their luggage room than any other hotel in Myeongdong. If you haven't already, try checking with the front desk directly instead of just the claims line, the concierge team there is actually pretty good about tracking things down if you catch them in person. also check with the convenience store downstairs in the hotel, sometimes bags get mixed up with deliveries there by accident.

Wow, that sucks! A vintage vinyl collection? That's brutal. I've never lost luggage at any hotel, thankfully, but I've heard horror stories. Did they give you a claim number or anything? Following up relentlessly is key, unfortunately. Also, check your credit card statements for any unexpected charges, sometimes there's a weird... correlation with lost luggage and oddly timed charges, maybe they're trying to cover their tracks or something, I dunno. Really hope your records turn up; keep us updated!

Thanks! Yeah, the claim number is 12345, and I'm already on the phone with them for the fifth time today. It's not just the vinyls, it's also my laptop with all my work on it. The whole thing is a nightmare. I'll definitely keep an eye on my credit card statement, that's a good tip, hadn't thought of that. Seriously appreciate the support! Will let you know what happens.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

arrow_drop_up 24 arrow_drop_down

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
