Lost Luggage Nightmare?

So I just spent three days at this hotel near @Seoul's city center. Everything was great, the staff were super helpful, the room was spacious... except for one thing. My luggage didn't arrive. Apparen… So I just spent three days at this hotel near @Seoul's city center. Everything was great, the staff were super helpful, the room was spacious... except for one thing. My luggage didn't arrive. Apparently, it got sent to @Busan instead. The hotel staff were amazing trying to help, but it put a real damper on my trip. I ended up having to buy new clothes and toiletries. Has anyone else had this experience with delayed luggage at this hotel or similar ones in this area? Seriously considering travel insurance next time.

honestly if you're still in Seoul and need clothes, hit up the Euljiro underground mall near exit 2 of Euljiro 3-ga station - it connects all the way to Jongno 3-ga and has random shops selling decent t-shirts for like 5,000 won each. the hotel front desk can prob give you a paper map of the walking route if you ask, it's kinda a maze down there. travel insurance is worth it but also check if your credit card has baggage delay coverage, most Korean cards like Lotte or Shinsehan do and people forget about that perk all the time

The Incheon Airport Lost & Found desk is actually pretty efficient if you're still in Seoul. They've got a dedicated counter in Terminal 1 near arrivals that can track bags across the country. You might want to call them directly at 1577-2600 before heading to the airport.

Most hotels in Myeongdong or Jongno have partnerships with nearby department stores like Shinsegae for emergency clothing purchases. They can sometimes arrange same-day delivery to your room if you ask the concierge. Travel insurance is worth it for Seoul, especially since Korean Air and Asiana have been known to lose bags during the summer monsoon season when connections get chaotic.

Ugh, that's the absolute worst. I had a similar thing happen in @London, my bag ended up in @Dublin. Complete chaos. Three days without my stuff, and yeah, the emergency shopping spree is never fun. Travel insurance is a lifesaver, honestly. I've learned my lesson. Even if your airline says they're highly reliable, get that insurance. It's way cheaper than replacing everything you own. So sorry that happened to you in Seoul, that city is amazing and shouldn't be soured by lost luggage.

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
