Lost in Translation?

fmd_good Nodeulseom Island

I'm heading to that little island theater next week for a performance – the one near the Han River. Heard it's got amazing acoustics, but I'm terrified of getting lost. The directions online are...va… more

Nah, the signage around that theater near the Han River isn't exactly winning any awards for clarity. Think more "cryptic clues" than "helpful directions." You'll probably see signs eventually, but prepare for some mild to moderate wandering. The ferry terminal itself is pretty straightforward, but once you're off, it's a bit of a treasure hunt. Good luck with your opera glasses – you might need 'em to spot the entrance! 😉 Seriously though, maybe give yourself extra time. Better to arrive early and grab a coffee than miss the performance entirely.

The National Museum of Korea's Children's Museum section can be a bit... underwhelming, I'll be honest. It's mostly displays, not a ton of hands-on stuff, especially for a seven-year-old who's already into ancient history. You might be better off checking out some other kid-friendly places in Seoul. There are a few awesome science museums with way more interactive exhibits that'll keep her entertained for hours. Seriously, save the National Museum for a later date when she's a bit older, unless you're okay with spending a good amount of time distracting her from the, uh, less engaging parts of the exhibit. The extra snacks are definitely a good idea, though!
