honestly for acne stuff near myeongdong check out s&u dermatology, theyre right by exit 6 and do a pretty solid basic acne package for like 80k won. the thing is they have english speaking staff too which helps if ur korean isnt great

in gangnam id skip the big chain places and go to lyda dermatology instead, theyre smaller but the derm actually spends time looking at ur skin instead of just throwing lasers at you. their pore laser treatment runs about 120k and its pretty good for that glass skin thing

For a different option near Myeongdong, check out The Clinic by Dermatology. It's on the 4th floor of a building near Lotte Department Store and they do a solid "acne control" package that includes extraction, LED therapy, and a soothing mask for about 100k won. What I like is they use a skin scanner first to actually see what's going on beneath the surface instead of just guessing. Just book ahead because February is busy with winter break crowds and they fill up fast.

try muse clinic in gangnam, they're pretty good with acne treatments and not too pricey. also check out jw beauty, they do those popular glass skin facials near myeongdong

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
